A:How was your exchange visit?

B:It was great,the weather was good and the classes were fun.

A:What were the students like?

B:Really friendly. I got invited to lots of parties.
B:很友好。我受邀请参加了好几个聚会。
A:So what's your impression of Taiwan's universities?

B:They are basically the same as ours but there is not as much competition to get in as here.
B:基本上跟大家差不多，但不像大家这么有竞争优势。
A:Oh, why is that?
A:为何?
B:Several reasons. There is the low birth rate, brain drain and the fact they are building more universities.
B:好多缘由。低出生率，人才外流，而且学校的数目也多。
A:Did you do any sightseeing while you were there?
A:你在那里有没出去玩?
B:I visited most of Taipei's hot spots such as Taipei 101 and the night markets. In fact I got you this Hello Kitty doll from there. Everyone's mad about Hello Kitty in Taiwan.
B:我参观了台北的不少著名景点，譬如台北101 大厦、夜市。你的这个Hello Kitty 就是我从那里买的。在台湾，每一个人都着迷于Hello Kitty。
A:Thanks. So how long were you there for?
A:谢谢。你在那里待了多长时间?
B:only two months but I hope that with travel being made easier I can go back soon and visit all my new friends.
B:就两个月，不过伴随旅游手续的简化，我期望尽快回到那里，去看望我的新朋友们。
A:Yeah and I'd love to go with you too.
